I am a security & software engineer based in California.

I received my PhD in philosophy from the University of California, Irvine. While there, I primarily worked in contemporary analytic philosophy with emphasis on epistemology and the philosophy of logic. I am also interested in Frege, Hobbes, Aristotle’s ethics, Plato’s metaphysics of mathematics, and Descartes’s account of the mind-body union.

My dissertation was a Peircian account of knowledge. My current research interests include applying my theory of knowledge to machine learning tasks with an eye towards creating expert systems.

I received my OSCP certification in September of 2016.

Moby Dick is the great American novel.

With regards to programming, I usually code in Ruby or Rust, although I have also been known to work in Go, Python, JavaScript, Java, Perl, C, and C++.
